Opportunity

The Leukaemia Foundation is seeking an entry-level Technology Support Officer to join our Corporate Services IT Department, providing day-to-day IT service desk support with national coverage across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll support key areas including desktop support (remote and in person), office-based user support, onboarding and offboarding, and asset management,  all while contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT operations.

You’ll maintain high service responsiveness and resolution quality across the IT service desk, delivering a positive end-user experience through reliable and professional technology support to our teams around Australia.

A few extra things to know

  • This is a 12 month contract position with national coverage
  • You’ll report to the Service Desk & Security Lead, with no direct reports
  • This is an entry-level role, a great opportunity to start your career in IT. We also welcome applications from candidates who are part way through their studies and seeking part-time hours (e.g. 0.8 FTE).
  • Flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required to fulfil the requirements of this position
  • Eligibility to work in Australia in a permanent full-time capacity is required

What you’ll be doing

  • Support entry level 1 desktop and technical support, both in person and remote
  • Install and configure laptops and business applications
  • Respond to service desk issues and requests in a timely manner
  • Diagnose, repair and replace equipment as required
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of staff
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation
  • Track, allocate and maintain IT assets, ensuring the asset register is accurate and up to date

What we are looking for:

  • A technical, logical thought process
  • Technology troubleshooting skills
  • An ability to prioritise and see activities through to completion
  • Experience in delivering quality customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive data
  • Relevant qualifications within an ICT related discipline are desirable, or demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11
  • Experience with Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Jira Service Management
  • Experience with remote desktop tools such as TeamViewer
  • Knowledge of M365 Admin Center and Active Directory
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience
  • Experience with Adobe Products
